May 1 1500 MAY DAY MARCH and RALLY

The main theme will be “ Sweep Away Poverty – Rice Bowl Protection – Share the Prosperity – Universal Suffrage ”. We Fight for Minimum Wage, Standard Working Hours and Collective Bargaining Rights. We are Against Contracting Out and Privatization. We Demand Universal Suffrage.

Place: Victoria Park to Central Government Offices.
 
May 7 1500 MOTHERS’ DAY MARCH and PETITION.

On the eve of Mothers’ Day, the HKCTU’s Women’s Affairs Committee making use of the march and the petition to express Mothers’ future expectations to their children, including the improvement of labour condition.
 
Place: Chater Garden to Central Government Offices.
 
May 11,18 1930-2130 WOMEN & WTO WORKSHOP.

A lively and active discussions on the “Effects of WTO on Citizens - especially in the Women Sector”. Speakers include Ms. Winnie Ng, Director of Ontario State, Canadian Labour Congress and Mr. Lam Chi-leung, Globalization Monitor.

May 29 1500 PATRIOTIC and DEMOCRATIC MARCH

Organize by the Alliance in the Support of Patriotic and Democratic Movements in China.
We demand Accountability to the June 4 Incident and Universal Suffrage to the People.
